Pretty much what the title says. I click play, screen goes black for a few seconds, then acts like a program minimizes and I have a lovely "Deadspace 3 has stopped working" dialog. Was looking forward to playing it after work today, but looks like I'll be playing more Planetside 2 instead.

Solved it, it was a game controller. Unplug/remove those devices, and any in Device manager, and see if that works. I had a vJoy driver for a VT Controller (for playing Hawken with) installed and that was the culprit.

Anyone else having this issue?

It appears that using sound output to my Logitech G35 causes Dead Space 3 to crash within just a few seconds of attempting to load.
Mind you, I've only swapped between Speaker output to my G35 to check that this behavior is consistent. It is. Definitively.
Some additional input:
Logitech G35 drivers updated to most recent (non-beta)
nVidia drivers 313.96 (beta drivers, mind you)
Running Windows 8, but launching from Origin manually
If you need additional specs, I can provide them, but I work QA for a large company, and am confident this has something to do directly with the Logitech G35 device and not any other additional conflicts (except for possibly Windows 8).
Let me know what else you may need to help diagnose this issue.. and offer me a job, if there's one open? lol

Had my Saitek X-52 pro plugged in, game seems to hate it for some reason. Unplugging fixed it.

Just loaded Dead Space 3 via PC DVD. Unfortunately, I can't even play the game. It consistently locks up as soon as I start the single player campaign; ending up with a black screen making the system unusable and forcing me to do a hard reset.
System details:
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601
x64-based PC
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz, 2668 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295
Graphics driver: 310.90
How do I go about getting EA engineering the details they need to diagnose what's going on here?

I have been able to successfully download Dead Space 3 from Origin multiple times, however, I have not gotten it to launch:
