well, bought a copy of DS2 at a flea market kinda thing (used) and cant play it online, what are my options at this point?

Sorry to hear you have a problem there, but to play online you should just buy the game in Origin - Buy Dead Space 2. It is only 10 $ bargain now!

PS: Dead Space 2 is pretty awesome! (my favorite in trilogy).
