downloading freeze

★ Novice

Hello Everyone,

Okay, so i dont know who else to turn to about this. But recently i've been wanting to re-play Dead Space for old time sake and i own it in origin. When i log in and go to "my games" and start to "download",  a separate window pops up saying "this is how big the game is" and "this is how big it will be after download" and it does that for all games. Although when it comes to dead space the client stops responding and crashes every single time i press the continue button to start downloading. When i try to download other games they just do normally and i have no idea why i have this problem. I really dont want to go to steam and use another 20 dollars to play a game i already own in Origin.

Any help would be super greatly appreciated.

Regards,

  1. Make sure your the Origin client is up to date: Origin menu, application settings, enable Automatically update Origin
  2. Run Origin as an Administrator: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-do-i-run-a-program-or-a-game-as-an-administrator/
  3. Perform a clean boot before starting Origin and hopefully the game: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
  4. Let us know here how this goes for you, thanks.

OK, so i tried all of the options you gave me. but just to be clear, i dont think its origin. i think it might be dead space itself... every single other game in my library i can download with no problem, but when it comes to dead space, origin stops responding. I cant describe it any more than that, origin works great and so do all of my other games, the only thing is dead space. i can even download Dead space 3 with no problem.

Again any help or suggestions are welcome.
