"You need a DX11 capable GPU to play Crysis 3"

Hi, today i just went to comics connection to buy Crysis 3 for PC. Right now im using an imac with partitioned windows, so i can use windows also and play windows games. I've played every kind of game (League Of Legends, L4D2 ) on this desktop and some demo like ( Mass Effect 3 demo, Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning). But today when i finished installing Crysis3, i open the game and it gives me this message bar with a messaging stating "You need a DX11 capable GPU to play Crysis 3" . i've checked my computer in the "dxdiag" and it says

  • DirectX Version: DirectX 11

So right now i need some help and what to do to fix this issue.

Re: "You need a DX11 capable GPU to play Crysis 3"

when you purchased the game...on the side of the box will give you minimum required hardware to play. You need a more powerfull video card to play...your video card you show is not compatable to play Crysis 3.  Your system specs. are to low to handle the game.  UPGRADE!!!!!

Re: "You need a DX11 capable GPU to play Crysis 3"

There are hundreds of people with this same problem.  I also had this error, I upgraded my video card a  just to make sure. I downloaded all of the newest drivers and tried again, with no luck.  I un-installed and re-installed the game.  I spent 4 hours going through on-line threads to find a patch or a solution but had no luck.  This is the first time I had this error ever, now the people I bought the game from will not take it back because it was opened.  I now have an $80.00 dvd case.

This will be the last ea game I ever buy, no technical support!  Just chat rooms, not acceptable... Spend some of your billions of dollars in profit on technical support and maybe people like me will remain loyal and buy more of your products.

Re: "You need a DX11 capable GPU to play Crysis 3"

It's entirely possible to go out and buy a Dx11 card that isn't adequate for Crysis 3.  AMD sells a business class GPU named the HD 6450 that will fail to run the game, and when the HD 4000 series was new, they were so popular that many more were eventually produced than ended up being sold.  You can still find HD 4350 cards, new, that are neither sufficiently powerful, nor are they capable of running Dx11 games.  The HD 6570 is close to being adequate, but its performance isn't up to the HD 5770 (minimum) level.
