Screen size

I recently installed  command & conquer plus covert operation on my Windows 7 64 bit laptop.

Game is running only so so, some slowing down occurs from time to time and a glitch flashes the screen  that makes the colors appears washed up.

But the main concern is the post stamp size of the picture (about 12 by 8 cm). Damm, I would need a magnifying glass to use it ...

Too bad a game that was so fun is now  really annoying to play . I can't hardly see the different units, it looks really bad.

Would there any way to improve picture size  ?

Other question, how come a game that fitted on 3 CD now  takes close to 2 gigs of download? 

A pain in the *** when your stuck with a not so fast internet access and very limited download sizes unless paying exorbitant extra fees (in the range of hundreds of dollars thanks to Bell Canada wireless nightmare).

So I had to limit my download to only the first game of the series this month. If the other games act up in the same fashion as up to screen size , I will just cancel this deal and ask for a refund. Too bad because I was a fan of the C&C franchise since it's introduction.

Would it be possible to order the series on  physical Dvd ???

I found a website where a fan of the C&C series had created a piece of open source software to help run the older CNC games.

Give it a try and see if it helps:

Thanks a lot buddy, you made my day.  I installed the patch and after a few tries plus  a lot of fiddle now it run great in 1224 x 768. 

What a change, it makes this classic game run like new. A lot more fun ahead playing more missions .
