Wont let me leave alliance.

I've been trying for the last 2 days to leave the current alliance I'm in. I am second in command. try'ed tried moving my self to a member so I can leave and I get and error message. The alliance head has tried to move me  to member as well and he gets the same message."Error in changing members roles".  Is this a known bug or are they going to fix it?
