When is EA going to patch or update or whatever C&C Generals and Zero Hour to work on Windows 8/Windows8.1???
I asked EA for help, it got put up the chain and get told it wont work and they wont tell me any more. WTF? FIX IT! ONE JOB!
If anyone else knows how to help and can write out the solution in a way that actually makes sense instead of trying to make themselves look good that would be great.
Problem is the usual Directx 8.1 error. I have a brand new computer and yes it is all up dated.
Following workarounds do not work:
- Delete dbghelp.dll
- Delete Options.ini or change resolution by yourself in it.
- Starting the game in Compatibility Mode (None works)
- Running as admin
