Ship upgrades not updating in Achievements

Ship upgrade counter in Achievements is not updating on my account.  I have been having this issue for a few weeks now.

I needed 9 more upgrades to complete the next tier achievement, so I did 6 upgrades on both of the new FO ships, but it still shows I need 9 more upgrades.

When the achievement says "upgrades," it means promoting a ship to the next rarity (star) level. Did you do that? Or did you just increase the ship's level? Using training droids to increase the level of the ship will not give you credit towards the ship upgrades achievement.

Opened case "Thanks for using EA Help. 45942104" which directed me here. All previous comments are from 2017.  What is the fix for this?

@dkush17 Is your issue with the ship upgrades achievement? If so, the previous post is correct: Ship Upgrades is the ship equivalent of character Promotion, or increasing star level. It does NOT refer to upgrading of ship abilities.
