[FIXED] Sims Won't Nap in Chairs/Toodlers won't nap on floor

[ Edited ]
★ Novice

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? -Vampires -get to work -get together -parenthood -city living -dine out
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By clicking on the option to "sleep/nap" in a chair (even the one they are sitting in) becomes available (when a sim gets tired).
What happens when the bug occurs? No matter how tired they are, the sim waves their hands up in the air and complains, acting like something is in the way/can't do the action (even if they are sitting in the chair that has been clicked on).
What do you expect to see? For the option to "nap" in chairs to work.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I don't know why, or if I'm the only one with this problem, but whenever my sim  gets tired, and the option to nap in a chair becomes available, my sim will act as if there is something in the way (waving their hands, etc.) and will cancel the action (even though it's in a wide open space and/or they are already sitting in it).

They are able to nap in beds, sofas, and even bathtubs, but not chairs, for some reason.

I tried disabling mods, but that doesn't work.

Also tried with other families and saves, but still a problem.

Tried repairing the game through origin; doesn't work.

Tried resetting sims; same problem.

Even had a chair in an open lot with nothing but free space but still doesn't work.

If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hero

  • Toddlers can once again nap on chairs.
  • Lazy Sims can once again Nap Lazily upon Living Chairs.
    • Sensing a pattern here…

This issue should be fixed with Patch 1.36

Did you also delete the cache files after removing the mods ?

Did you use the same toddler/house or a different one ?

Different chairs/sofas ?

Forget to add it only happens with chairs. Sofas are just fine!

ok, thanks. Something i might add: With the new patch they replaced "<T n="factory">11793<!--Sit_Nap_Idle--></T>" with "<T n="factory">162833<!--Sit_Nap_Toddler_Idle--></T>" in the sofa_nap_toddler xml but not in the chair_nap_toddler xml. Maybe thats the source of the problem? I tried to replace this part in the chair nap toddler xml too but it wasn't a solution unfortunately.

Yeah. Chairs seem bugged.
