Received message from EA bug report stating to also post bugs on here.
So, here it is. I also sent a message to the community manager a week ago, but never heard anything from him.
After 3 months of reporting same bugs over and over and not one patch/update has addressed the bugs,
they now inform me of this???
All below bugs are in offline franchise mode.
I have played 2 seasons 1st franchise, 3 seasons the 2nd time playing franchise, 5 seasons the 3rd time playing franchise and now am in my 1st season of playing franchise for the 4th time.
Also, I went back to my bug reports via the submit bug report site and my original report that listed all the bugs in detail has been removed
for some reason, so I will not be able to go into as much detail as I originally reported.
1. Formation subs-broken:
To replicate, go into formation subs and put any player (other than #4 cb on depth chart) into your outside block fg position, play game and it will default back to #4 cb. This is just one example, but the most detailed that I can give.
Also, formation subs do not save week after week for some reason.
2. Sliders do not work:
To replicate, set KO power to 1 for human and cpu. Play a few weeks, season, or whatever and do not KO manually, sim through this.
Look at stats (as I was trying to replicate actually NFL stat. low team tb% is 27%/high is 80%). My KO's and opponent KO's will always be in the 80's% range to 90's% range. How is this even remotely possibly with KO power set to 1?
This is just one detailed bug with the sliders. The majority (not all of them, just the majority) of the sliders are broke. So I will not go into detail on every single one of them. One more example is the tackle slider. The average HB in the NFL breaks 6.6 of his rushes (rushing attempts divided by broken tackles). I have the human tackle slider down to around 25 and the cpu tackle slider down to around 20. Both the Human and CPU HB's still average over 10 (again, rush attempts divided by broken tackles) and can not get close to 6.6. The problem in lowering it to where I have it now is, when a receiver makes a catch, he is like superman trying to tackle.
Speaking of sliders:
While using the play "key moments" only feature, my players while in sim for 2/3 of the game seem to use the cpu sliders and not human. What is the point of having separate human/cpu sliders if the computer uses the cpu sliders for BOTH human and cpu sliders while in sim. There is no way to fine tune sliders to replicate stats then.
3. Every, and yes I mean every time I play, the game crashes and I receive and error message that starts with a "C" and then some numbers. I always click on "report", and also reported this via report bugs, but again do not have access to my originally report as EA has removed it.
I also tried to fix via the recommendations on the screen and all that did was wipe out all rewards/settings/game play/basically everything that I accomplished/saved and fixed nothing. This seems to happen more often when backing out of formation subs than any other time, could be my imagination though as it happens in a wide variety of scenarios.
4. Fatigue/Injury setting:
I have fatigue set to 69 and injury set to 10 and the stats are still off.
Fatigue in/out for HB is 100/99 and they still play way too many downs. Again, trying to replicate real NFL stats and the HB's still play way too many downs. I have CB set to 1/0 and they still do not play enough downs. So, this is obviously broken (same goes for safeties and linebackers). So, it's like do you want to replicate HB's (I would probably need to raise fatigue setting to around 100 and then CB/S/LB will be even worse) or lower to around 50 to replicate the CB/S/LB downs played actual NFL stats, then the HB's will never come out of the game.
I have injury set to 10 and still have to many injuries with players that have injury attributes in the 90's. One year I had injury slider set to 6 and had a player with a "99" injury attribute get injured for several weeks.
5. Draft picks:
Why is there a maximum of 25 draft picks per year. There is no maximum in NFL, so I consider this a bug and needs to be fixed.
6. XP sliders:
If the sliders go up to 300, then you should be able to use the 300, if you so desire. Yet if you have a superstar development player and the coach trait for the corresponding position, you will lose points. I read on here a response that you can not go above 222 for this scenario. So, either the maximum XP slider should be 222 or EA needs to fix it so you do not lose points for using said scenario.
7. Progression/Regression/Awards:
I do not have a problem with players regressing around 28, it's more of the formula.
I read that if a player wins awards, makes pro bowl, etc., this should slow this down or prevent.
I had a LT with normal player development one year that won offensive lineman of the year and made the pro bowl, go from normal to slow development. In that scenario, he should have stayed at normal or if a change was to be made, he should have gone up to quick.
Another year I had a MLB that won defensive player of the year, but did not make the pro bowl, LOL. How is that even possible?
8. Goals:
You can set yearly goals while playing as a coach, but not as an owner.
If you can set them as a coach, why in the world do you not have the ability to set them as an owner.
9. Playbooks:
Since the computer takes over for 2/3 of the game (while playing just "key moments") there should be a way to set up the offense play calling pass/run percentage. Most offense playbooks seem to be run happy and I am trying to replicate actually team stats for play calling.
So, for example I should be able to set up my play calling to a 60%/40%-Pass/Run ratio during the 2/3 of the game that is in sim mode. I had to contact Zfarls for some suggestions so that I didn't have to go through 32 playbooks of experimenting to find a playbook that was close to this.
These are just "some" of the bugs that I have encountered. I can not remember all of the ones that I have submitted since they were removed from my bug reports on the EA site. Therefore, they are just the ones that stick out in my mind that I can recall at my old age.
Hopefully, someone that can actually do something at EA will read this and (after 3 months) actually fix with a patch/update.
