Updater for Battle Field Bad Company2 failed on Windows8

MY order reference No. 16338253123

Installed the game today but it says that my version is 602574 and needs to update to 795745.  But when the updater runs, I get an error message which says that I must logon as administrator.

For windows 8 I am the administrator.  Can you help me with this problem or I think the 20 EUROs wasted online.

I had the same issue. Go to C:\Program Files\Origin Games\Bad Company2 (or program files x86 if running 64bit Windows) and right click on BfBC2Updater and select Run as Admin.

I own both battlefield 3 and bad company 2 but when i tried to open bad company 2 it said the same thing as you. I just tried what the other guy suggested but in my origin games folder there is nothing. I play battlefield 3 all the time so i dont know why there are no files there. Can anyone help me on that? Or am i just screwed?

 For me the battlefield bad company 2 folder was in C:\Program Files\ElectronicArts. so i guess yours too
