Xmas Attack

★★★ Newbie

Greetings,

I need some help please, I am currently unable to play this glorious game for any longer then ten mins online because after that ten mins, my router is flooded with "Attack Detected: Xmas packet", this only happens when playing BF3/4 online.

Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

Thank you

Bumping this on behalf,

Internet running fine all the way until firing up BF, after 10mins router gets hammered with "Attack Detected: Xmas packet" and the connection resets.

Is there an issue with origin or BF4 broadcasting our IP to a bot net?

Okay it seems that your router is blocking your online play with some confusing port scanning.

I recommend to open following router ports, it should bypass your router the port scan for BF4:

TCP: 80, 443, 9988, 20000-20100, 22990, 17502, 42127
UDP: 3659, 14000-14016, 22990-23006, 25200-25300
For specific instructions on how to open your ports, please visit http://www.portforward.com/ or contact your router manufacturer.

If you still having trouble, check if there is any router firmware update available but it might be that your router in general is the problem.

Please keep us updated.
