The game keeps loading after pressing the play button. (PS3)

When I start the game and press the 'start' button, the game just keeps on loading. I only see rain and hear music. In the top right corner there is a loading symbol. 

Are there people who have this problem too? (I play on the PS3)

I have the same problem. Bought it today to ps3 and i had tried for almost an hour to start the game and nothing happends. Have restarted the system and done all the updates but the rain keeps falling down...crap.

Disconbect internet and the game will start...PSN is down

I'm having this issue too- I was trying to secure the helicopter for the vips, the husband gets shot and bad guys are everywhere.  In the chaos of trying to find cover I fell off the top of the building (i'm not very good).  When the game tried reloading at the checkpoint of the husband getting shot, all I get is the sound from the game and the blinking cursor in the upper right corner.

Some people mentioned psn being down, so I disconnected the internet but still have the same issue.

I'm not sure what to try next, I guess just start the level over.  I'm a little surprised the game is still glitchy since it's been out for a while now.
