We've received a number of reports from players indicating things like hit markers not appearing or enemies not taking damage, despite bullets clearly firing. While the team is working hard to resolve this and other issues reported so far, we need your help! As part of our continuing investigation we would like to ask for any example videos that players have of cases where, despite clearly firing at an enemy, it doesn't seem that the server is registering your hits.
We're looking for quite specific examples.
Useful examples will contain one or more examples of:
Not getting hitmarkers(except when it's turned off on HC mode, of course)
Enemies not taking any damage when they clearly should have been hit.
No bullet holes or impact markers in the environment after firing.
Please include the following information: In Options, Gameplay tab, what value is your “Network Smoothing Factor” set to?
It will also help to include whether this is consistent, of if hit indicators/bullets/holes work one moment, but not the next. Any additional info will also help, such as the map, the game mode, weapon used and so on. Any information helps.
The following video is a perfect example of the sort of thing we're looking for: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qu09XFqRYmE
Short videos are ideal, but if a longer video is the only one available, a timestamp for the offending event would be very helpful.
Conversely, there are similar videos that won't be useful in this instance, and we'll ask you to refrain from posting these.
Such videos would contain: damage/hit marker delays, server lag, and being killed before you see the enemy. This is an example of what we're not looking for: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXnUCN335dQ.
Thank you very much for your help with our continuing efforts to improve Battlefield 4.

An example just recorded today, I think I dont need to talk about all the other bugs (get killed before you can see your opponent, one shots, random dammage multiplier...) :
Network Smooth : 60%

it is NOT absolutely unplayable... pull your head out of ass.. SET YOU NETWORK SMOOTHING FACTOR TO 0%... it works trust me..

Here an example of doing oneshots with Compact 45 in Softcore 100% Health.
My Ping 7 ms, my mates was about 45 ms. Both with Network Smoothing 0%.
Moving and bad ping increased the chances a lot, as well as using weapons with slow bullets such as pistols.
Maybe the hitbox is lagging and the bullet counts more than one hit.
A lot of eSport players are already complaining about this.

Pings were not even higher than 40.
Stop rushing the game if you want to keep the playerbase, cuz you lost a lot of players by this release.

I agree. Since turning network smoothing to 0 I've actually started going even-positive.
