Hey, guys.
So just today I got my motherboard replaced due to a really wobbly SATA port. I got the new mobo and installed it (along with a new CPU cooler) and started playing BF4. I would normally get around 60+fps in-game but at random points it would drop down to about 15-20fps for about 2-3 seconds. With my old mobo I wasn't having this issue. I am not using Mantle as that has random fps drop as well.
My specs are:
- ASRock 970 Pro3 R2 mobo
- Sapphire Vapor-X R9 270x
- AMD FX 8320 CPU
- 8GB RAM
I am running Win7 but am thinking of upgrading to Win 8.1 since I've heard you get better performance with it.
I have all the latest DirectX drivers up to date. I even tried a rollback driver version for the GPU to see if it would help - it didn't.
What are your suggestions?

If you head over to your device manager in your Windows control center, is there anything causing trouble aka is not properly installed?
You should try to repair your Battlefield 4 installation by heading over to your "My Games" library, right-click on your BF4 icon and choose "Repair Install".
