(PC) battlefield 4 crashes at launch [ Edited ]

I've been playing bf1 since it came out and I hadn't played bf4 for the same time.  The other night I decided to fire it up I waited till I saw the 'loading level' to pop up and clicked on the icon.  The game poped up on the screen there was some quick artifacting across the screen and bang the game crashed and and I got 4 direct x / mantle errors if i left it my pc would eventually give me a B.O.S.D.

win 10 64

16gig ram

r9 290x 

I've tried repairing the game install, Have disabled origin in game,  tried reinstalling,  rolling back and updating the radeon drivers with no help.  bf3,  bf1 and all of my other games work fine its just bf4.

any help would be great cheers

Just dont use Mantle API graphic, use DX11 instead. Go to C:\Users\[User_name]\Documents\Battlefield 4\ end edit config file manually to disable Mantle or just delete this folder...

I've attached the DxDiag.txt file but I have the game running under dx10.

yeah 2 r9 290x's a shame i get better performance with 1 card in bf1 dx12 and dx11
