New Graphic Card.. Now BF4 doesnt start !

★ Novice

Hello guys,

i have an intel core 2 quad  32 bit  , 4 gb ram, 400 Watt ,  Windows 7 and i had the Geforce 630 GT.

I was able to play Bf4 on the lowest details.

Today I got my new graphic card ->  Sapphire  HD7850 OC 2Gb

I installed the newest driver and now, if i wanna join a server, BF4 doesnt start.

I mean the graphic card is much better than the older 630 gt.

Can it be, that my 400 Watt Power is too low???

or are there other problems?

Can you help me please??

thanks for your answers!

Hello,

400W is a bit on the low site, is it a quality PSU? And with quality I mean is it from a famous brand like: Corssair, XFX, Cooler Master etc.
Also, is it bronze, silver or gold certified?
If it you PSU isn't silver or gold I'm thinking that your PSU is the problem.

Hope this answer will help you!

Hex thanks for your answer...

its not a quality power supply i think.

I have installed counter strike global offensive and it works on the highest graphic settings...

now i first try to reinstall bf4.. do you think it will work then??

Because i have installed bf4 when i had the 630 gt in my graphic card slot..

i had the same problem but on other games and it was beacuse i ran the games from an external hard drive. If you do have bf4 on an external hard drive try to delete the game and reinstall and another hard drive not an external hard drive.

Hope it helps^^

Yeah you can try that.
But after hearing that it isn't a psu from a good brand I think there's your problem.
I had that problem to: I bought a old pc for 75 euro's with a HD 4870 and a Athlon II X3 455. Everything was fine but I wanted to upgrade my pc so I bought a HD 7770 and a cheap power supply to match the required wattage. It was a cheap psu with no name from the china. I had everyting hooked up and ready to go but the pc wouldn't start. Turned out that my PSU was not giving the required 12V but 3V so I returned it to the store.
But don't take my word for it, it could be something else. I just think that is the cause of your problem.

hey.. i reinstalled bf4 and it doesnt work....

I open a server.... the sentence "  join server " appears and the task manager shows me, that the process is going on. In the task manager under processes i see, that bf4 is opened.

But why the game  doesnt it show up?

400W is more than enough for his current rig.

I've got GTX670/3570K, both superclocked, at peaks it takes LESS than 450w.
