Disconnected from EA Online when game is joined on PS4

So, my brother and I share the same EA account for Battlefield 4. I play on PC while he plays on PS4.

However, we are unable to play the game simultaneously without either one of us getting kicked out from EA Online. For example, I get into the game on PC and my brother instantly disconnects from EA Online at the instance I connect. The vice versa is also true.

Is this a known issue?
