August 2015
Hi. I recently used Windows 7 and got these crashes saying something like "Direct X DEVICE_HUNG driver GTX680" And now in Windows 10 I still get the crashes, though the crash error message saying something about "Direct X DEVICE_HUNG Make sure to have 512mb Video memory".
This comes from time to time, but some maps are worse than others. Pearl Market is extreme, I can't even play it for 2 minutes. Maps like Caspian Border 2014 works flawless. And it has no matter if the server is full or noone else than me playing.
I have tried EVERYTHING! And the only thing that actually works is using nvidia drivers 344.11
I have contacted nvidia with the reply "If this problem is only persisting in BF4 it is a game related problem and you should wait for a developer patch"
But how can this be a game related problem if the only thing that works is old drivers?
Things that I have tried:
Disabling Origin layer in-game (always running with this off)
Disabling SLI (2x GTX 680)
Using physX on CPU
Uninstalling Geforce Experience
Updating .NET, Direct X, Punkbuster
Trying different Graphic settings in-game
Running game in x86 instead
