Hello, I have the game fully installed, updated with all maps all verified as well but the game still wont open. (Single Player) says online in Battlefield 4 on PC but its not on my system try. when i go into my task bar the game is running with 1.7% cpu usage and 345MB of ram with no disk or network activity. It also does the same thing when i open Multiplayer. its not showing up on my tray but shows up in task manager

Hello.
Try to delete folder settings of bf4 C:\Users\[User_name]\Documents\Battlefield 4\ and don't change ingame video options such as 'API graphics" - use DX11, and "Display mode" - use Full screen

Omg this is exactly the same problem as me! It only started happening the other day. Has been working fine for a year now suddenly closes itself as soon as it opens.
I can see it in Task Manager and Battlelog says I'm currently playing in a server, yet the BF4 game itself is nowhere to be seen on my taskbar or anything.
I have completely uninstalled BF4, Origin and Chrome. Then re-downloaded and re-installed all of them again. I've turned off 'Origin in Game'. I've verified game files using Origin. I've used windows system checker and troubleshooting. Drivers are up to date.
NOTHING IS WORKING.

Ah that's good news, pleased the hear it!
I just found a fix thanks to: loscoy
He suggested taking origin into offline mode. Launching BF4, changing the fullscreen settings to just plain fullscreen (I had mine fullscreen borderless).
Re launch origin again, and try again.
And it works!
Weird how it was working in borderless mode for over a year though. Wonder if DICE or Origin or Windows have changed something recently?

This just worked for me. Haven't fired up BF4 in ages. Went to do so after many updates, and the game would bring me into the launcher screen (where you pick you game, search fro matches, multiplayer, etc.). However, could do nothing here, no mouse or keyboard interaction. Had to kill the game via task manager. Even tried repair, then uninstall and reinstall. Nada. However, seems even in the repairs and uninstalls, the above mention folder remained. Renaming it to"c:\users\<username>\battlefield4_old\", then relaunching the game resolved it.
