Battlefield 4 crashes at startup

So today I update BF4 and then tried to join a server and play like always. I have never had any problems with BF4 before this, no crashes or such. But today when the game launched, about 5-10 seconds after the game icon appears and the game launches, I get a message saying BF4 has stopped working.

This goes for both multiplayer and singleplayer campain.

Did the new patch that came out, do something to the game so that it wouldn't even launch? I have tried to repair my installation of BF4, which did nothing (No corrupt or damaged files)

 Having Battlefield 4 running as administrator does not fix this either.

Any help regarding this would be appreciated!

I found a solution to my problem, setting the default starting option of BF4 in Origin to (x86) instead of none made me able to play the game.

There is no clear troubleshooting step for crashing issues but we got several responses from our community that some of following steps worked to solve the issue:

• Nvidia – Reverting to older drivers  - GTX 690 - 331.65 crashed non-stop. 331.40 beta from sept and in 3 hrs not one crash. Another player mentioned that rolling back to 331.58 stopped his crashes.
• Setting In-game audio to headphones.
• Update Direct X and Microsoft .NET Framework
• Disabling NVIDIA High Definition Audio (Single Player)
• Run as administrator (for BF4 and BF4x86). You could also try changing security permissions on the origin games folder giving users full control instead of just read
• Nvidia Control Panel > Configure Surround > PhysX > PhysX settings > select your graphics card. Then Origin > Repair Install, played all day without crashing. Another confirmation and another.
• Punkbuster Uninstall / Reinstall
• Microsoft Visual C++ x64 and x86 versions of 2010 and 2012 uninstall. Reinstall with Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 3 Second Confirmation
• Stopping overclocking on Video card - SP only (e.g. GTX460)
• Reinstall your webplugin as well as your ESN Sonar application and/or try a different browser.

And how did you do that in specifics mate?

aclementdk, you go to Origin > MY GAMES > right lcik the BF4 icon and select 'GAME PROPERTIES' and choose whichever version you want to automatically start when you play the game (X86 or X64 version)

My game is crashing after cinematic scenes are over. I have uninstalled and re-downloaded and installed the game again (Tried repair before it). Even updated GFX card driver. Still nothing. Specs:-
