September 2014
I FIXED THIS!
OMFG, I finally fixed this with no help of EA, DICE
1. Go into Origin > Application Settings > Origin Beta Participation
2. CHECK "Update to the beta version when available"
3. Exit Origin
4. Start Origin, it will update to some beta version
5. Restart your computer
** At this point you might as well try BF4 to see if it worked, but it didn't for me yet **
6. If BF4 doesn't start still UNINSTALL BF4 completely
7. REINSTALL BF4 using this new beta Origin client
8. Launch BF4 again!
Let me know if it works for you!
September 2014
Did everything on "Poohstick17" excellent post and even what "EchostormFury" suggested -- but bf4 will still not launch...
Windows7 (64-bit)
i7-4790
ASUS MaximusVII Formula
32-GB RAM
SLI GTX760
SSD
As a customer/franchise supporter (all bf games prior to bf4) -- frustrated and disappointed.
Please fix...!

This worked perfectly for me as well. Simple fix to end a frustrating chain of events....
Thank you.

So...tried to launch game thru Origin--but still fails to launch.
Opened a browser--signed in thru Battlelog and was able to join a multiplayer game thru "Battlelog"...?
Two days in a row--failed launch thru Origin. Open Battlelog -- join multiplayer game.

discovered by accident. go to default programs under control panel and make you web browser the default program to set as default. bf4 wont launch to the website until you do this.....
