I have Battlefield 4 installed and am unable to play. It takes the game 5-10 minutes to get to load screen where you are prompted to hit enter and then it freezes and does not load the campaign (offline).
I have attempted numerous fixes online but none have worked. The recommendations tested include:
- Resinstalling the game
- Repairing the game
- Attempting to launch the x86 and 64 version of the game
- Setting them both to Win 7 Compatibility and run in Admin Mode
- Setting them both to Win 8 Compatibility and run in Admin Mode
- Manually installing Visual C++ (vcredist_x86 and vcredist_x64), punkbuster, and direct x
- Updating the chrome plugin
All of these interventions have not worked.
I have an Intel Core i7 4710HQ 2.5GHz processor, 16GB of RAM, and a GTX970M graphics card on Windows 8.1.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
