Battlefield 4 DirectX error

★★★★ Novice

Hi,

When i go into single player and start playing i go for 2 to 5 min of gameplay and then suddenly this appears

DirectX Error

DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG("The application's device failed due to

badly formed commands sent by the application. This is an design-time issue that should be investigated and fixed.").GPU:

"NVIDIA GeForeceGTX 560Ti', Driver 33165

I tried updating video drivers ,  repairing the game, all settings on low or off !  And on multiplayer I joined a match and could play only 30 -40 sec .

My Computer:

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1

System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500K CPU @ 3.30GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.6GHz

Memory: 4096MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 4080MB RAM

 DirectX Version: DirectX 11

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti  1 GB

So i should run the game right ? ..
Please someone help

Try running the game in windowed/borderless (NOT fullscreen), this fixed the problem for me.

I have the same problem and I did all the things you did to make it not happen (repairing the game, updated video drivers etc.) and it still didnt work. And even if playing the game on windowed mode or borderless will solve this problem, i dont want to because i want to play the game fullscreen (I run it on high graphics and its a better experience overall plus i dont like to play fps on windowed mode i think its kind of ridiculous). Please EA you must patch this thing its getting really annoying to be dealt with.

Try this;

Go into control panel, language, change date, time or number formats, administrative, language for non-unicode programs, change that to English US.

Fixed my DX problem.

I have done all the troubleshooting all of you have done and still the same thing whether in windowed or fullscreen. I contacted EA about this issue many times. The last specialist that I talked too said he is (hopefully) going to send it up to the developers. I hope they fix this soon because if they don't I am going to ask for a refund on my battlefield 4. If you are running windows 8 also try updating your PC to Windows 8.1 they told me that might fix it, but that didn't work for me.
