Guys, this is very frustrating.
I have both IE and CHrome and I cant get it to work on either.
I would prefer to use chrome and have tried everything I have read with no success.

Once you've run the setup file, type chrome://plugins/ in your browser's URL bar and press enter. This will show you a list of all installed plugins, search for "Battlelog Game Launcher" and "ESN Sonar" (these are the names in Chrome, they might be a bit different in Firefox and IE) and tick the checkbox "Always allowed". Go back to Battlelog, press F5 to reload the page and it should recognize the plugin.

If you're on chrome, go to advanced settings and hit ''reset browser settings'' worked for me.

I now have this problem with the new patch. Tried all the suggestions here and some more. Not really awesome having paid for something I cannot use.
EDIT: Issue resolved...
Close origin, close browser.
Control Panel ---> Uninstall Programs
Uninstall Battlelog Web Plugins
Uninstall ESN Sonar (dont restart now)
Open your downloads folder and install latest plugin (you have probably downloaded 84 times)
Restart computer
Open browser(not origin) and head to battlelog
Downloaded and installed again!!!!!
and it worked
