Why am I lagging now ever since the multiplayer 6 update from BF3 End Game?

Ever since receiving the update 6 all my pings on all servers and all regions have been a full 5 bars, and this is causing me to lag every single time, not matter how I change my router settings or filter settings. Can anyone help?
