I have downloaded and redeemed code for bf3 on this computer before however it does not show up in my games. When I try to redeem code again it just says this code has already been used.

Make sure that you are logged in to the correct Origin account that was used when redeeming the code. Apparently it's not this one, so you might have created a separate account for Battlefield 3 in the past.

If you can't remember anymore, you might want to contact a Game Advisor at https://help.ea.com/contact-us for assistance. They should be able to locate your old account again.
